Stonyhurst Tennis Academy is delighted to offer an intensive tennis coaching experience within a world-class indoor tennis dome to international students aged 10 to 16 who are looking to improve their tennis alongside their English skills.

The Course:

After its inception in 2018, Stonyhurst Tennis Academy has gone from strength to strength and continues to run in summer 2020. The Tennis Academy combines English learning with interactive tennis tuition. Alongside the 34 hours of English learning on offer, students receive 30 hours of high-intensive tennis tuition by our professional coaches. 

Tennis Academy students will integrate with the Language School for the morning sessions, as well as daily activities and 4 excursions. In the afternoon, Tennis Academy students will come together to receive intensive tennis coaching where they will focus on improving their technical, tactical and physical skills.

The Facilities:

Stonyhurst is the perfect location for a Tennis Academy as it offers high-performance facilities, both indoor and outdoor. The Tennis Dome is 10 metres high and offers two Grand Slam-sized courts. We believe that our facilities can nurture the next generation of tennis players. We also have the support of TennisHead magazine who have featured our school in their digital magazine.  

Coaches:

The course is delivered by our team of LTA Senior Performance Tennis and Academy Coaches who have competed in tournaments worldwide.

The courses will run on the following dates in 2020:

- Two weeks          Friday 3rd July – Friday 17th July 2020

- Two weeks          Friday 17th July – Friday 31st July 2020

- Four weeks         Friday 3rd July – Friday 31st July 2020

There is also the opportunity to combine a two-week English and activities course with a two week Tennis Academy course into a four week stay.
